Looking Back on the Prototype Release of "Shifting Embers"
I finally released the prototype of "Shifting Embers", so I wanted to look back on the things I made, the things I could not finish, and the lessons I will carry into my next game.
Dev logs, a diary, works, and a playground. Just a slightly cluttered hideaway.
Viewing all categories.
I hope you find some articles you like.

I didn’t know that my posts on X wouldn’t be visible to others until the account review period was over.
I wanted to use my X account for Japanese posts. And I posted that I released a game.
But it was not shown from other accounts.
I've been just waiting for activating my account.
Have a good day, everyone!
PS:
I wrote a Devlog about "Shifting Embers".
It has been 2 months since I started to make "Shifting Embers".
Today, I released it!
I'm so happy!
I appreciate the providers of free assets and the players!
"Shifting Embers" is my first time making an RPG. I learned a lot of new things from this process.
But now I want to rest for a little while.
I will write something articles about this experiments later.
Good night everyone!
Lately, I've been desperate esperate to release this project that has been processing for about 2 months. I will do all things to release as playable anyway. (Even if it’s rough.)
Today I made a title scene quickly.
I hope to play this game by a few people. And I will be on working to release this game at 6/14.
The project will be released as prototype version. I think it's not bad thing.
I want to fix and add features. But now only possible is passing away this game !
Good night everyone.
Today I was working on drawing card icons. I drew it simply to do for all cards.
Screenshot was a little better by working of today.

Then I would like to release "Shifting Embers" as first release.
It's going to be prototype, because of my first experience of making RPG.
I've been making this game for a month and a half. So I need a period to avoid this project became vaporware. (Is it true usage "vaporware" ?)
I set up limit until this weekend.
Good night, everyone!
I wrote here before, It is hard for me to chat in the game's guild.
Today I've chatted in the game's guild. Someone wrote a long message suddenly. I didn't know that was a part of the anime's dialogue.
And then, I was confused about how responding to the message. Of course, I responded, But the atmosphere became awkward.
I was miserable. I wouldn't like to chat in the game's guild.
However I like to see the chatting log, They look like fun. And I'm fun.
I'm not good chatting but I like chatting itself. So I'm not sure how I feel today.
Good night everyone, Everything will be good by sleeping.
What I need to do. (About gamedev [It's all in the past] )
What I want to do. (For this site)
My plan:
Today I felt good in the morning. I made the "Preparation Scene" for where player chooses a victim and edit a deck.
Then, the afternoon, I had to fix home's printer. The printer was not good, blurring skipping, and a ink error.
I had cleaned inner of the printer for 3 hours. Then, Maybe it has been good. And I was tired.
Anyway good news is that the goal is in sight.

Good night everyone.
PS:
I forgot changing date of yesterday's diary.
I already fixed it.
I'm still the slug.
For a few days, I couldn't move well .
Always sleepy and lethargic. They are called slug, right?
I'm a slug! yeeeehhh!
I don't know when I can back to be a human from the slug.
Should I something try new?
No, Anyway anytime I'm sleeping.
Good night every one.
All I want to say "I've done my best ".
I finally drew the big snake boss.

Good night, everyone.
